Darko Darovec

has written 15 scientific monographs, which were published in Slovenian (8), Italian (3), English (2) and Croatian (2) language. He has also written  many original scientific articles (33) and book chapters (more than 50) in English, German, Italian, French, Serbian, Czech and Croatian, which were published in international peer-reviewed journals and by international scientific publishing houses, together he has more than 380 scientifical bibliographical units. http://izumbib.izum.si/bibliografije/A20160221100205-10728.html

He is the Editor in Chief of the scientific journals Acta Histriae (since 1993) and Annales – Series historia et sociologia (since 1991). The articles in this journals are abstracted and indexed in Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) and in Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI). He was also the coordinator or the head of several national and international research and development projects.

– Project manager of Heart of Istria: Heritage and Art. The development of cross-border tourist itinerary in urban and rural areas of Istria, approved by INTERREG III A Slovenia – Hungary – Croatia, 2004-2006;

– Project manager of strategic international project SHARED CULTURE – Strategic Project for the knowledge and availability of shared cultural heritage (3,5 mio €) approved by The Program for transnational cooperation Slovenia-Italy 2007–2013;

– Coordinator of the project Različni spomini – spomini na čast/ Different Memories –Memories of Honor (1999–2000) – Phare CBC Slovenia – Italy;

–  Coordinator of the project Life nature CONSERVATION OF ENDANGERED HABITATS AND SPECIES IN THE FUTURE KARST PARK, 2002-2004;

–  An institution partner in the 6th Framework Program of European Union (SS-ERC), project SS-ERC-“Social Sciences and European Research Capacities.

– 7th FP – Marie Curie experienced researcher on project: »FAIDA. Feud and blood feud between customary law and legal process in medieval and early modern Europe. The case of the Upper-Adriatic area« at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (2015-2017).
